HARD-SURFACE PROPS BUILT FOR CLOSE-UP DETAIL
Props carry a lot of a game's believability. Hard-surface props, from machinery and tools to containers, electronics and military equipment, need crisp edges, plausible construction and materials that respond correctly to your lighting.
Rope Studios models each prop from references, checks proportions early, and textures with PBR materials matched to your quality target. Our portfolio includes an antique woodworker's lathe and a vintage leather trunk with authentic wear, rust and brass hardware.
PROP BATCHES IN ONE CONSISTENT STYLE
Most prop work arrives as a list, not a single asset. We align on a representative hero prop first, lock the quality bar, then apply the same texel density, wear language and naming to the rest of the batch.
- Hero props for close camera and gameplay interaction
- Mid- and background props optimized for set dressing
- Mechanical and hard-surface props with clean bevels and readable silhouettes
- Weapon and military props, also covered on our weapon art page
AAA EXPERIENCE BEHIND EVERY ASSET
Rope Studios is led by founder Vikas Kumar, a hard-surface artist with 8+ years of AAA experience at Dekogon, Virtuos and Slipgate Ironworks. His credits include The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Forza Motorsport. Your leads talk directly with the artist responsible for quality, not a sales layer.

Security & IP
How we handle your files
What your vendor-approval checklist will ask, answered before the first call.
NDA before files
We sign a mutual NDA, yours or ours, before you share references, concept art or proprietary files.
Your tools, your depot
We work in your Perforce depot, Google Drive or Unreal source build, and track tasks in Jira if that is your setup.
Need-to-know access
Your files are shared only with the lead and artists assigned to your project. You talk to them directly.
You own the IP
Source files and full IP transfer to you on payment. Client work never appears in our portfolio without written approval.
Buyer FAQ
BEFORE YOU SEND A BRIEF
Can you produce a batch of props in one visual style?
Yes. We first align on representative references and an approved quality bar, then apply that direction consistently across the agreed asset list.
Do you support realistic and stylized work?
Requirements are evaluated against the supplied visual target and current studio capabilities before scope is confirmed.
Are optimization requirements included?
Polycount, LOD, collision, texture resolution, and packing requirements are documented during scoping and included when agreed.
