WHAT A GAME ART OUTSOURCING STUDIO SHOULD DO FOR YOU

Outsourcing game art should remove production pressure from your team, not add review overhead. Rope Studios works as an external art team that follows your art bible, technical budgets and naming rules, so approved assets drop into your project without rework.

We specialize in hard-surface 3D art: the weapons, vehicles, mechanical props and environment pieces where precision matters most. That focus lets us hold a consistent quality bar across an asset list instead of spreading thin across every art discipline.

SPECIALIST SERVICES

Each discipline has its own page with deliverables, technical specs and buyer FAQs:

  • 3D weapon and military art outsourcing: firearms, attachments, military gear and props
  • Vehicle art outsourcing: military and civilian vehicles, rig-ready parts and LODs
  • 3D prop and hard-surface art outsourcing: hero props and consistent asset batches
  • Environment art outsourcing: modular kits, military bases and industrial sets

HOW OUTSOURCING WITH ROPE STUDIOS WORKS

Most engagements begin with a free test asset for qualified studios, then a paid pilot of 1–3 assets. You review the blockout, the textured work in progress and the final delivery, so direction is settled before expensive late changes.

Once the quality bar and communication rhythm are proven, the remaining asset list follows the same review gates. Scope, schedule and change approvals stay in writing throughout.

AAA EXPERIENCE BEHIND EVERY ASSET

Rope Studios is led by founder Vikas Kumar, a hard-surface artist with 8+ years of AAA experience at Dekogon, Virtuos and Slipgate Ironworks. His credits include The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Forza Motorsport. Your leads talk directly with the artist responsible for quality, not a sales layer.

Working Model

A REVIEWABLE PRODUCTION FLOW

Align

Confirm the brief, quality target, technical specification, ownership terms, and review owners.

Review

Share work at agreed milestones so direction is resolved before expensive final-stage changes.

Validate the approved files against the agreed naming, format, and technical requirements.

Security & IP

How we handle your files

What your vendor-approval checklist will ask, answered before the first call.

NDA before files

We sign a mutual NDA, yours or ours, before you share references, concept art or proprietary files.

Your tools, your depot

We work in your Perforce depot, Google Drive or Unreal source build, and track tasks in Jira if that is your setup.

Need-to-know access

Your files are shared only with the lead and artists assigned to your project. You talk to them directly.

You own the IP

Source files and full IP transfer to you on payment. Client work never appears in our portfolio without written approval.

Buyer FAQ

BEFORE YOU SEND A BRIEF

Can we begin with a test asset?

Yes. Qualified studios can start with a free test asset. A defined test asset can establish visual quality, communication, and pipeline fit before a larger production scope is agreed.

Can Rope Studios follow an existing art bible?

Yes. Provide approved references, technical constraints, naming rules, and representative in-game assets so production can be calibrated to your target.

How are reviews structured?

Review points are agreed during scoping and typically cover blockout, textured work in progress, and final delivery.

Where is Rope Studios based?

Rope Studios is based in New Delhi, India, and works with studios in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe and worldwide, with flexible hours that overlap with Western time zones.
